The Doxic Status of Atmospheres
In the so-called new phenomenology, the concept of atmosphere has gained prominence as a way to understand existential experiences of spatiality or the intersection between self and world. In this essay, I wish to engage with Mats Rosengren’s doxological theory of knowledge to inquire about what it would mean to have knowledge of these atmospheres.
